You would have received information earlier today regarding the running of the school athletics carnival next Friday. We have had to make a number of adjustments to comply with the requirements that we are expected to comply with regarding external events, in particular the 2 m2 expectation and physical distancing of adults at the carnival. We appreciate that some may find these requirements inconvenient, but we are required to be proactive in how we are responding to each event held by the school.
As was announced last week, Mr Daine Burnett has been appointed as the new principal of St Kieran Catholic Primary School from 2021. Daine will meet staff and students in the coming weeks and will join the next school board meeting towards the end of this term. We have already started the handover process which will continue for the remainder of the year to ensure that there is a smooth transition leading in 2021.
This year the Angelico Art Exhibition received more than 300 visual arts entries from students of 48 CEWA schools, representing a wonderful array of creativity from across our Catholic education system. A number of St Kieran students had artwork entered into the Art Exhibition and should be congratulated for their efforts!
While the work is not on display in a public venue this year due to COVID-19 restrictions, a physical exhibition was installed to allow for a virtual, interactive walk-through exhibition to be created.
The virtual exhibition is on now and includes a voting feature for the People's Choice Award, with voting open until Wednesday 16 September.
Visit the Angelico Art Exhibition now!
Have a great weekend
