To say that the last couple of weeks have been unique and unprecedented would be an understatement! I have been communicating on a regular basis with families via email regarding the changing nature of the situation on a daily basis so there is no real need to refresh any of this in the Principal News.
We are seeing a very calm and responsive group of students who are being really attentive to the needs of their peers whilst also understanding that there are some new expectations around how they are to interact with each other. I continue to hear words of gratitude used by members of our school community, very mindful that these are the things that provide us with a boost.
Our staff have dealt with the new reality in a purposeful and focussed manner. They have been dealing with the normal day to day issues that arise with children whilst also supporting those who are struggling and at the same time preparing for the move to an online learning environment if required.
If you have the opportunity a quick message of support for your child’s teacher, an EA who works with your children or any of the support staff would really give them a lift and provide them with that extra positive energy that is so much needed at this current time.
Enjoy your weekend.
