As part of the school build, we had a number of desks that we superfluous to our needs and have currently been stored offsite. These will return to school next week and will be available to parents for a donation towards Lifelink on Wednesday 10 July from 10-12pm in the school carpark.
This will be on a first come first served basis.
We also will not have facilities for change so bring your actual donation with you.
Storage is a major issue for our school so we would love to have this older but still, quality desks find a new and loving home.
Today we acknowledged the beginning of NAIDOC Week celebrations and the end of our very busy school term with a Mass celebrated by Fr Wilson at the church.
The Pre-Primary classes joined us for their first school Mass and all students were very respectful and sang from their hearts! Miss Spadaccini would have been very proud of their efforts as were all the staff.
The St Kieran family is renowned for their open hearts when it comes to fundraising.
We are halfway through the year and we have enthusiastically participated in these events -
Term 1
Easter Raffle - $1816.44
Carnevale Day - $ 462.95
A total of $ 2278.99 was raised for Caritas
Term 2

All money will be donated to LIFE LINK a Western Australian Catholic Caring Agency, initiated by the Archbishop Timothy Costelloe SDB

A very special mention to Rebecca from 5W. Rebecca held a Lemonade Stall at her house to raise money for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation so that books can be available for ALL children in Australia. Rebecca raised $37.50 on her own. Thank you, Rebecca, for being a GIVER not a TAKER!

All points collected will be used to buy new decodable readers for the early years and new music equipment for our talented music teacher, Miss Sonia Spadaccini.

Make a Move – Dance Program - Term 3
Next term all students at St Kieran will have the exciting opportunity to be a part of the 'Make a Move' Dance Program.
'Make A Move' is an exciting new dance program that focusses on empowering students with the skills to create their own unique dance showcase.
Director, Meagan Baronas, has combined her passion for dance with education. She is a qualified teacher who also has over 10 years experience working as a professional dancer, both interstate and overseas.
Each week, students will participate in dance lessons that follow the Western Australian Dance Curriculum. They will be taught how to create their own part of a dance, within a whole class dance. This will then be showcased next term on Open Night on Wednesday 18th September 2019.
Lowes is having a Sale on School Shes, up to 25% off, whilst stocks last, until the end of July.
