Staffing 2021

Below you will find staffing information for 2021.  There are several new staff that will join the school next year or who will return after having taken leave.

The following are staff who are joining us new staff members or returning from leave,

  • Mr Daine Burnett will join the school as Principal.
  • Ms Elizabeth Berettieri will join our staff after having spent a significant time during 2020 as a relief staff member.
  • Ms Kieralee Davis will also remain on staff.
  • Mr Jeremiah Jackson will take on the role of Library Technician.
  • Mrs Cara Lanyi rejoins the staff full-time whilst Mrs Ashleigh Shaw and Mrs Lauren O’Brien return part-time from the stints on maternity leave.

Early last week, Mrs Day tendered her resignation effective immediately. As many of you may be aware, she has been dealing with a medical condition over the past several years, and she has made the difficult decision to complete her teaching career.

We will acknowledge Mrs Day together with both Mrs Young and Mrs Davini, who are also ending their school working time at the end of this year. Another long-serving staff member, Mrs Storey, completed her time at the school earlier this year.

Mrs Davini has spent the last 18 years as one of the school administration staff and has been the first face many student and parent alike has seen when they have entered the school.

Mrs Kathy Young received her 30 years of service to the school as an employee earlier this year, although she often reminds us that she has been around the school a few more years than her working life. More recently, she has worked as our library technician, although she has had several roles in the school over the years.

All 4 of these women have devoted a significant period of their lives to the St Kieran community, and we greatly appreciate and recognise these efforts. The school community will farewell them all officially on the last day of the 2020 school year.

School Board

The school board held its annual general meeting on Tuesday evening. This will be the last year that there will be a school board. With the incorporation of Catholic Education WA from 2021, all boards will now be know and School Advisory Councils. They will continue their current work, with a reclassification of the role to occur over the following twelve months, including the development and adaptation of a new constitution.

The information related to the AGM can be found on our website or accessed through this link.

We congratulate Mrs Chelsea Lim, Mrs Tina Terranova and Mrs Claire Dyson for nominating and accepting a position on the School Advisory Council for the next two years.

Below you will find a copy of the fee structure for 2021. This information was also disseminated at the AGM on Tuesday evening.

You will note that all fees have not increased for 2021, with a slight reduction caused by swimming lessons not requiring bus hire.

Over the next few weeks, we will have several opportunities to celebrate the school year. We look forward to sharing these events with you, including the opening of the Parish Shrine next Friday evening. Please see information below about how this will affect parking and pickup Friday afternoon next week.

Have a great weekend!
