Principal News

Thanks to everyone who jumped on the Livestream of the Make a Move concert. We reach a peak for 125 online at the one time with over 1000 separate views during the 90-minute extravaganza! Thank you for your positive feedback even though we did have few technical issues around the quality of the stream. Each class will have their video posted once we complete the editing to remove unnecessary footage. A message will be sent out once this has become available.

At the moment we are planning for events that usually occur during Term 4; being very mindful that the possibility of a number of restrictions still being in place will quite likely impact on the normal operation and activities. Swimming lessons are planned to be held in Week 7 and 8 of Term 4 at the Servite run Tuart Hill pool.  This has been a significant win for our students and school and we appreciate the willingness of Servite College to assist us in making this happen.

The Sacrament of Confirmation will also be held during Term 4, although with a number of changes to ensure compliance with the restrictions in place, including smaller numbers at the stand-alone events and a number of health-related practices. This information has been sent to all Year 6 families earlier this week.

The commencement of Term 4 will see staff undertake a full First Aid training day on Monday 12 October.
The first day of Term 4 for students will be Tuesday 13 October.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Faction carnival last Friday. The weather was perfect as was the fun had by the children and those who attended. We greatly appreciate all volunteers who assisted us on the day and the great work from staff.

This weekend is the 2nd weekend for First Communion. We wish all of our students who have last week and will receive Christ for the first time. We send them and their families our best wishes and pray together with the school and parish community for them during this very special time. Thanks to our staff who have done a wonderful job assisting the parish in the celebration of this sacrament.

Enjoy your weekend!
