Mercy Day 2019
Next Friday, 27th September is Mercy Day at St Kieran. All students may come to school in FREE DRESS for a gold coin donation.
On this day, we celebrate the works of the Sisters of Mercy.
In early February 1920, the Sisters of Mercy established a Church School in the St Kieran Parish. Sr M. Mechtilde and Sr. Emmanuel McMahon were the first two Sisters to come to Osborne Park and opened St Kieran Catholic Primary with sixteen students.
Next year we will be celebrating 100 Years since this auspicious occasion.
On Friday, we will start the day of celebrations with Mass at 9am at the St Kieran Church.
At 11:15am we will be holding a mini fete in the school grounds until 12:30pm.
All money raised on the day will be donated to Sr Elizabeth to put towards the works of the Sisters of Mercy.
We will then be having a shared lunch. All parents are very welcome to join us for the mini fete and shared lunch.
We ask that you please enter through the main gates at Tyler Street and sign in at Sign-in desk which will be manned by someone from the leadership team.
We are looking forward to another special event that celebrates our St Kieran Family.
