Congratulations also goes to Natalie Poga who has been selected in the U15 Touch Football Girls team to represent Western Australia in Term 4.

Last week saw our Cyclic Review conducted. The process of looking backwards to help within the decision making of what needs to be planned next (Looking Forward) is the model that is used across all Catholic schools in WA. Part of our long-term planning will centre around future demographic information provided to the school as part of the process. The items of curriculum development and a vision for learning that is clearly articulated to all members of our community, the centenary celebrations and how they help promote our school in the wider Tuart Hill community, having a clear connection between our Mercy heritage and how that influences our interactions and everyday learning and continuing the work of sustainability of our school and the playing environment. There are a number of aspects that will be teased out over the next twelve to eighteen months and will require community input to ensure we are on the right track.

Fathers’ Day breakfast will be held next Friday 30/8/19 starting at 7:30am in the upper learning area. Please enter through the Morgans Street gates. We need final numbers by Friday to ensure we are able to cater appropriately for the event. Thank you to Libby De Masi for her coordination of this event and the great band of helpers and cooks that she has assembled.

OPEN NIGHT and MAKE A MOVE Dance
Open night in Week 9 (Wednesday 18th September) will feature our choir and our dance concert related to the Make a Move dance program during Term 3. We will also have the official opening of our facilities and also have all classrooms open for you to view children’s learning. The doors will open at 4:30 pm and we expect the concert to finish before 6:30 pm.

It is expected that all children will be in attendance as the concert is the culmination of the dance program for the term. Please stay tuned for more information over the next few weeks.

Have a great weekend. We will see all students back at school on Tuesday 27/8/19.
