Catholic Performing Arts Opening Mass
This week Mr Cutrona, Mrs Hart and the Community Pillar Leaders, Grace D'Arcy, Ryan Amoyo, Ariana Catena attended the Opening Mass for the Catholic Performing Arts. This year Catholic Performing Arts celebrates 30 years and to acknowledge this special occasion a mass was held at St Mary's Cathedral by Archbishop Timothy Costelloe SDB on Wednesday 24th July. It was the first time for Grace, Ryan and Ariana to attend a mass at the Cathedral and they were really amazed at the grandeur of the building. We all felt very privileged to represent St Kieran at this special occasion.
First Holy Communion
Last night, all Year 4 students and St Kieran parish students took part in the parent/student. This was well attended, and it was great to see students spending quality time with their parents in their preparation for this special sacrament.
Reconciliation for all Year 4 students will be next Wednesday, 31 July at 9 am at school.
The First Communion Retreat will be held on Thursday, 1st of August in the St Kieran Upper Learning Area. This will be led by 24 Serve Youth Ministry for all Year 4 students and after school sacramental programme students. All students may wear free dress but still bring their recess and lunch as normal.
Woolies Earn and Learn 2019
Thanks to all those who help to collect and count stickers in this years Woolies Earn and Learn. Our school collected a massive 33,146 stickers which were then converted to points. The points were used to purchase new music equipment and decode able readers for our early learning years. They will be delivered to our school sometime in November.
New Sports Equipment
Mr Hort, Natalie Poga and Rocco Macri (Mercy Captains) along with Milana Miceli and Jayden Leone (Francis Captains) have been busy purchasing new sports equipment using the money earned from HBF Run For a Reason and the St Kieran Footy Tipping competition.
Everyone will be very impressed with their purchases, especially the students in the Ciaran Centre with their shiny new scooters!
Thank you for supporting these students to achieve their goal in purchasing new equipment for our school. The St Kieran Family spirit is alive and well!
