St Kieran News
Pentecost Sunday 23rd May
"We are called to be men and women of hope.
We understand that we do not learn to hope alone. No one learns alone. It is impossible. Hope, to be nourished, necessarily needs a body in which the various members support and revive each other.
The natural dwelling of our hope is a supportive 'body': for Christian hope this body is the Church, while the vital breath, the soul of this hope is the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit one cannot have hope.
When the Holy Spirit abides in our hearts, it is he who makes us understand that we must not fear, that the Lord is near, and takes care of us; and it is the Holy Spirit who forms our communities, in a perennial Pentecost, as a living sign of hope for the whole human family."
Pope Francis
School Dates
Just a reminder to all families that we have a Student Free Day on 4th June and a Public Holiday on 7th June.

Unwell Students
Can we please ask that unwell students are not sent to school. This in turn has an impact on the other students as well as the staff. Your consideration around this matter is appreciated.
Smart Watches
As we continue to grow in this IT and tech world there are many things we continue to need to address and one of these is Smart Watches or wearable devices. We understand that many of these devices are very popular and many students do have them, however we do ask for parent support to ensure that these features are turned off during class time and that by wearing these devices the students are taking responsibility for their appropriate use. If your child does have a smart watch that they wear to school please ensure they are aware of this responsibility.
Tyler Street Crossing and Roadworks
Tyler Street will also be having roadworks at the end of May and beginning of June - parents will need to take this into consideration when collecting your children from St Kieran or Servite.
Update - School Website
This website is now 'live' for the community. We will also be updating and providing more information on this site, so please bear with us as this is completed and information transferred over. We will continue to update information on this site during the remainder of Term 2.
