Reconciliation Prayer
Holy Father, God of Love,
You are the Creator of all things.
We acknowledge the pain and shame of our history
and the sufferings of Our peoples,
and we ask your forgiveness.
We thank you for the survival of Indigenous cultures.
Our hope is in you because you gave your Son Jesus
to reconcile the world to you.
We pray for your strength and grace to forgive, accept and love one another,
as you love us and forgive and accept us in the sacrifice of your Son.
Give us the courage to accept the realities of our history so that we may build a better
future for our Nation.
Teach us to respect all cultures.
Teach us to care for our land and waters.
Help us to share justly the resources of this land. Help us to bring about spiritual
and social change to improve the quality of life for all groups in our communities,
especially the disadvantaged.
Help young people to find true dignity and self-esteem by your Spirit.
May your power and love be the foundations on which we build our families,
our communities and our Nation, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
National Reconciliation Week – 27 May – 3 June
Reconciliation is an ongoing journey focused on strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider community, for the benefit of all Australians. It reminds us of the generations who have worked tirelessly for meaningful change and calls us to continue striving for a just and equitable society – one where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children have the same life opportunities as non-Indigenous children, with improved outcomes in education, health, and economic wellbeing.
I hope your week has been a great one and that you all are keeping safe and well.
Best wishes and take care.

School Calendar
A reminder to all families to continue to check the school calendar on our website for dates and events that are coming up during the term. We conclude Term 2 for students on Thursday 3rd July. We also have professional development days and public holiday on the 30th May and 2nd June.
MSP School Photos
Photos for 4-Year-Old Kindy to Year 6 will take place on Friday the 20th and Monday the 23rd of June.
All school photos will be taken at St Catherine’s House of Hospitality, over the road from the school office at 113 Tyler Street.
All students from Years 1-6 are expected to wear their full academic school uniform with the correct black school shoes for the full 2 days of school photos.
Class Photos/Individual Portraits
• 3 Year Old Kindy Students will have their class and portrait photos later in the year – this is to ensure all the students have started. These will take place on Monday the 25th and Tuesday 26th August. Further communication and ordering slips will be sent closer to the date.
Every Student will have their photo taken, whether they are purchasing photos or not.
• In the coming weeks your child will be sent home with an online ordering instruction slip with a unique student Shootkey. Please do not lose this slip as students MUST bring it to school, whether they are purchasing photos or not.
You can purchase your child’s school photo via online ordering system on the instructions.
• Log onto www.msp.com.au and follow the prompts to place your order.
• The expiry date for online ordering is the 30/06/2025. Any orders received after this date will incur a $30.00 archive fee.
Family Photos (Student Siblings Only):
• Envelopes can be obtained from Administration
• Family photos are taken each morning before school.
• Please ensure that your family envelope and payment are handed to the Photographers on the Photo Day.
• If you do not have the correct money, MSP will provide any change needed when photos are delivered to school.
• Family photos cannot be ordered online.
• Once school has received photos, family photos will remain at reception for parents to collect.
Please Note:
Individuals and Family Images are not available to view online for Student Security and class photos are shared with all parents in the class.
- MSP will have a helpdesk running every morning between 8.00 & 9.00am if parents are having issues located inside St Catherine’s House of Hospitality.
- Students are expected to be in full academic uniform, with the correct school shoes for their photo.

Kindy 2026 Enrolments
We are accepting 3-Year-Old and 4-Year-Old Kindy Enrolments for 2026, with interviews beginning conducted for students to start at St Kieran next year. All parents need to submit an application to make sure your child is enrolled at St Kieran Catholic Primary School for 2026.
If you have any questions or would like clarification, please ring or contact the School Administration.

Unwell Students
As we are moving into the colder months can we please ask that unwell students are not sent to school. Our staff will call parents if a child is unwell or presents unwell. Sending an unwell child to school in turn has an impact on the other students, as well as the staff and of course the families at St Kieran. Your consideration around this matter is appreciated.
Servite College - After School Pick Up
St Kieran students who need to meet their older siblings from Servite College, must wait at St Kieran Catholic Primary School's undercover area. They can then be collected by their Servite College sibling, who can walk through either gates or the St Kieran school office if they are late. With parental permission, a St Kieran student can walk over to meet their older sibling at Servite College, but only after the St Kieran duty has ended at 3:20 pm. St Kieran students are not to be on the Servite College site until lessons have concluded and the bell has gone at 3.15pm to end the Servite teaching day.
Cross Country
Due to the weather, the Cross Country was postponed today. We will inform parents via email of the new date in the coming weeks.
Uniform
We are starting to see the cooler mornings come in and over the next few weeks it will get colder as we move into winter. This is a great time to ensure that you have your child's name written on their uniform. It is very difficult to find the owners of items when there are no names on home. Please ensure your child wears the correct "V neck" jumper with the academic uniform and only wears the zip up jacket with the sports uniform.
Grandparent Liturgy
On Friday 6th June we will be holding a special Liturgy to celebrate all Grandparents. This will begin at 8.45am in Undercover Area.
Kieran Connect Meeting
The next Kieran Connect meeting will be held in the Staffroom on Monday 9th June at 5pm.

Sign of the Week
Learning one Auslan sign a week is a simple but powerful way to increase our awareness and inclusion at St. Kieran. By committing to learning just one sign each week, we break down barriers and build empathy. It reminds us to be more mindful of accessibility and gives us the tools to connect with more people. Over time, these small efforts add up, leading to greater fluency and a more inclusive environment for everyone.

Australian Girls Choir – Perth Open Day - June
Look no further than the Australian Girls Choir (AGC) because we encourage, challenge and inspire girls as they learn to sing, dance and perform. School aged girls are invited to come along to our June Open Day to try our fun and inclusive classes and learn more about being part of the AGC! Please visit our website to register to attend our free Open Day: ausgirlschoir.com.au/joinagc

However, her determination, intelligence, and unique perspective enable her to excel academically and discover her true potential.
